"Greatest Athlete"

John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

When you look at all the things Jesus did both physically and mematally during His time on Earth, it's easy to say He was the best athlete that ever walked this Earth. The poem, The Greatest Athlete of All" says it all!

The Greatest Athlete

When one asks who is the Greatest, Athlete of them all.
Some will name a football pro, who always scores when given the ball.

Some will choose a basketball star, who scores 40 or 50 a night.
And others will name a fighter, who never loses a fight.

Many will name a track star, who explodes at the sound of the gun.
Others will pick a baseball player, who with ease can hit a homerun.

Some will name a hockey star, who is agile and quick on the ice.
And others will choose a tennis pro, whose serves are fast and precise.

But if you really ask who is, the Greatest Athlete of all.
One must stop and think, is it a puck, a track, or a ball.

Is it speed, strength, or finesse, which makes an athlete stand out.
Or does it radiate from within, when all others begin to doubt.

For there has only ever been one, who never gave up the fight.
He stuck with what he believed in,
when the darkness shadowed the light.

He was beaten, heckled, and crucified, but never once lost sight.
Of the challenge set upon him,
more testing than a game, a match, or a fight.

His strength and courage were phenomenal,
a performance outstanding to see.
When one asks who is the greatest, it becomes so clear to me.

For when one asks who is the greatest, athlete of them all.
It’s Jesus Christ our Savior, - no puck, no track, no ball.'
